DocAdmin

System administrators, print operators, or super-users all use Assentis:DocAdmin in order to define document production processes executed by Assentis:DocBase. They store these definitions in Assentis:DocRepo. Production processes determine for instance how input data is sorted, grouped, split, or merged. Separate processing instructions may address how output data is converted, rendered, and distributed.

Administrators or super-users also define deployment stages with Assentis:DocAdmin and manage the design, test, and production environments with all their corresponding access rights.

Assentis:DocAdmin allows its users to set up different repositories in order to store different templates and resources according to their purposes. Thus, you can set up and maintain complete project libraries, or you can import and export repositories from Assentis:DocRepo. Special functions of Assentis:DocAdmin administer text module libraries and map user access rights as well as document templates to application-interfaces for Assentis:DocWrite. Thus, each DocWrite application obtains its own action classes that are predefined in DocWrite or that are customized or specially developed with Java.

Process information and results from print jobs of any DocBase server are displayed by Assentis:DocAdmin. Users can browse through the production data by means of indices and can edit or view these data. Finally, Assentis:DocAdmin manages information on all current, planned, or completed processing jobs on all DocBase hosts and reports any issues.
